10 FANTASTIC FALL DESSERTS IN SEASON RIGHT NOW

10 FANTASTIC FALL DESSERTS IN SEASON RIGHT NOW

Happy end of October, fellow ghee lovers! We are officially in the middle of arguably the best season of the year—FALL! We’re so excited for all of the wonderful and delicious things that come with the fall season, from all things pumpkin, to warming spices, to apple cider, and much more. We thought we’d round up some amazing, in-season dessert recipes for you to make all season long. Enjoy, and happy cooking!

Paleo Maple Pecan Apple Crisp by @paleorunningmomma

We are coming out of the gate strong with a dessert that encapsulates absolutely everything that is quintessentially fall! This dessert has a cinnamony, crunchy topping, delicious caramelized apples, maple syrup, and a gorgeous dollop of vanilla ice cream to tie it all together. What more do you need? Well, ghee, of course! We recommend using either 4th & Heart Original Recipe or Vanilla Bean ghee in the crisp topping. You’ll be making this dessert all autumn long!

One Bowl Keto Snickerdoodle Skillet Cookie by @castiron_keto

The only thing that can make a one-pot meal better is using one-BOWL to prepare it! Such is the case with this buttery, cinnamony Snickerdoodle skillet cookie! Warming spices are synonymous with fall, and this giant cookie is chock-full of them. This is a perfect dessert to make for a large crowd—you can prepare it in advance and leave it in the fridge, then bake and serve it right in the skillet (with a giant dollop of vanilla ice cream, of course!). Again, we recommend using Original Recipe or Vanilla Bean ghee for this recipe, as it’s not really a cookie without that buttery taste!

Paleo Pumpkin Bundt Cake by @paleorunningmomma

This is the first of several pumpkin-centric desserts on this roundup, and it’s a total home run. The cake batter uses ghee right in the mixture (we recommend our Original Recipe or Vanilla Bean) for a slightly buttery flavor note, which is complemented perfectly by a decadent, paleo cream cheese frosting that gets drizzled all over the cake. We are drooling just thinking about it! This recipe, although technically a dessert, also is phenomenal as a breakfast or brunch option with a hot cup of coffee or a Pumpkin Spice Latte. Hey, it’s only fall for a little bit, so why not make the most of it?

Easy and Delicious Paleo Caramel Apples by @rachlmansfield

This is another absolutely classic fall recipe because it combines fresh, in-season apples, a yummy caramel sauce, and it also doesn’t take much time at all to prepare! The caramel sauce in this recipe is made with ghee, so it gets bonus points for being even more delicious (you can take this recipe to the next level with Vanilla Bean ghee!). These caramel apples are also perfect for a picnic dessert or an on-the-go treat while you’re searching for pumpkins. It doesn’t get much more autumnal than that!

Salted Cookie Dough Bites by @rachaelsgoodeats

October is basically a free pass to eat all of the candy and sweets that you want (Halloween is on the 31st, after all) so we had to include these incredible cookie dough bites. Cookie dough is also undisputedly the best part about making a cookie, and when they’re rolled into balls, dipped in chocolate, AND salted, it simply doesn’t get any better than that! We used 4th & Heart ghee to make these little treats—which, by the way, are a great snack to give out to trick-or-treaters!

Keto Cinnamon Rolls by @castiron_keto

We love desserts here at 4th & Heart, and we are firm believers that they’re even better when they can double as a breakfast! Look no further than these cinnamon rolls, which do double duty as an amazing wake up meal AND a satisfying after dinner treat. Cinnamon, like turmeric, also contains an abundance of healthy nutrients and benefits, so technically cinnamon rolls are also healthy (we know, it’s a stretch). In any case, this recipe is a total winner, though we recommend you substitute 4th & Heart ghee (Original Recipe or Vanilla Bean) in lieu of the butter in the recipe. You will love these rolls no matter what time of day you eat them!

Paleo and Vegan Apple Cinnamon Sugar Donut Holes (No Bake!) by @whatgreatgrandmaate

These donut holes are actually almost too good to believe, especially because they require no baking at all. When combined with the other ingredients in this recipe (including ghee!), the almond flour actually gives these donut holes the fluffy, cake-like texture of a fried or baked donut hole. This recipe is make-it-to-believe-it, and trust us, you will fall in love just like we did!

Paleo and Vegan Salted Caramel Sauce by @whatgreatgrandmaate

We always like to include a recipe or two that works as a topping for any of the recipes in our roundups. Salted caramel has been having a moment for a while now, and it shows absolutely no signs of slowing down. This salted caramel sauce can be made with coconut oil or ghee (naturally, we chose ghee), and it truly makes absolutely everything it tops better! It’s also a perfect dip companion for the Paleo and Vegan Apple Cinnamon Sugar Donut Holes above, so why not make both for the perfect autumnal match made in heaven?

Healthy Pumpkin Pie Bars by @thecleaneatingcouple

We have yet to include a pumpkin pie recipe on this roundup, and we thought we’d mix it up a little bit by including one in bar form! These bars have everything we know and love about pumpkin pie, except they’re also portable! This makes them even more ideal for an on-the-go fall snack, picnic or potluck dessert. We used 4th & Heart Vanilla Bean ghee for this recipe, which perfumed the entire batter with buttery, vanilla goodness. Wash these down with a glass of milk or hot cider, and you’re good to go!

Ginger Molasses Cookies by @thehealthymaven

We’re wrapping up our roundup with a delicious, rich, and spiced cookie, but how else would we end our roundup? These ginger molasses cookies are absolutely packed with warming fall flavors, and the best part is that they work so well with many of the other recipes on this roundup, too! We used 4th & Heart ghee instead of butter in this recipe, and feel free to use Original Recipe, Vanilla Bean, or even Chocti for a really interesting spin. We promise that you’ll fall in love with these cookies and every other recipe in this roundup! We hope your fall is filled with tons of delicious goodies—enjoy!
