WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
1 cup of freshly brewed coffee
1-2 tablespoons Grass-Fed 4th & Heart Vanilla Bean Ghee
Blender
Coffee mug
Step1: Brew a truly fresh cup of coffee.
When making a ghee coffee, the freshness of the coffee beans you are using is critical. Just like fruits or vegetables, the quality of the beans you are brewing changes the nutritional benefits you get out of your daily cup. Standard coffee packaging is generally not ideal for long-term storage, so we recommend investing in storage canisters with an airtight seal if you’re going to be making ghee coffee regularly!
For the absolutely best flavor, we suggest brewing your coffee via the pour over method. New to the pour over world? Learn more about the cult following the pour over method has attained and what you need to start making pour overs in your own kitchen!
Step 2: Pour your coffee into a blender.
We suggest pouring only the amount of coffee you want to drink at that moment into the blender. Ghee coffee is best consumed right away – if you plan to make a second cup later in the day, make sure to reserve any leftover coffee in an insulated mug or thermos and place it on the kitchen counter to keep it fresh all day.
Step 3: Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of 4th & Heart Vanilla Bean Ghee and blend until foamy.
When the ghee emulsifies with the freshly brewed coffee, you’ll find that you don’t need to add milk, nut milk, or creamer to your cup because the Vanilla Bean Ghee acts as a creamer when blended!
Step 4: Pour into a coffee mug and enjoy!
By incorporating ghee coffee into your daily routine, you’ll curb the urge to snack between meals, while giving your brain and body a boost of energy to take on anything the day throws your way.
