Baked Matcha Donuts
Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a healthy, green treat! Flavored with matcha powder, these delicious baked donuts are gluten-free, refined-sugar-free, and lactose-free so you can indulge without regret.
Donut Ingredients:
- 1 & 1/4 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup coconut sugar
- 1 tbsp matcha powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 & 1/2 tsp baking powder
- Pinch salt
- 3/4 cup non-dairy milk
- 1/4 cup 4th & Heart Original Recipe Ghee, melted and cooled
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4th & Heart Ghee Oil Spray
Glaze Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp coconut butter, melted lightly
- 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp matcha powder
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
Directions:
- In a small bowl, melt the ghee for about 20-30 seconds in the microwave. Let cool.
- In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients.
- In a medium bowl, combine the wet ingredients.
- Add the wet to dry and mix till just combined.
- Spray a donut pan/silicone donut mold with ghee oil spray. Fill each donut mold and smooth top.
- Bake at 350º F for about 12 minutes. Let cool.
- Carefully flip the donuts out, placing them on a drying rack to cool further, flat side down.
- Stir together glaze ingredients until smooth. Dip the rounded top of donuts into glaze. Chill in the fridge for 10 minutes to let the glaze harden slightly. Enjoy!
