Ghee-licious crowd pleasing desserts

As summer winds down and the breeze brings a cooler touch, we’re savoring every last moment of the freedom of the season.
Whether you’re hosting an end-of-summer get together, or bringing treats to teachers as the school year gets under way, these recipes are sure to be a hit.
1. Lemon Cream Paleo Sandwich Cookies by @paleorunningmomma
This is the paleo Oreo-lemon creamsicle mashup that you never knew you needed – once you try them, you won’t ever go back! These cookies are really easy to make and are a perfectly bright and zingy dessert to eat on a hot summer night. Be sure to bring extras, because these will disappear before you know it.
2. Paleo Lemon Pound Cake by @paleorunningmomma
We know we already have a lemon dessert on this list, but we included this recipe for two reasons: 1) The lemon can be switched out for any citrus (think orange, grapefruit, or lime) and 2) It’s a foolproof and incredibly yummy recipe, so we just couldn’t resist! We suggest subbing in our Vanilla Bean Ghee for extra flavor. This is a great dessert to load up with some berries and healthy whipped cream for a crowd-pleasing summer dessert!
3. Healthy Pecan Pie Bars by @thecleaneatingcouple
Pecan pie is absolutely synonymous with summer gatherings, so it was a no-brainer to include it in this roundup of summery desserts. The crust gets its deliciously buttery flavor from, you guessed it, 4th & Heart Ghee, and is a perfect complement to the roasted, caramel-coated pecans. Hungry yet? We know we are.
4. Tres Leches Cake by @yummly
This is another quintessential summer dessert made all the better with the addition of ghee! As this cake chills in the refrigerator, it soaks up all of the gloriously sweet milk to make a dessert that’s somewhere between a cake and a pudding. It’s beyond delicious, and it’s the perfect way to end a meal on a summer evening because it is best served cold!
5. Paleo Baked Churro Donuts by @whatgreatgrandmaate
The last recipe in this roundup is an innovative (but just as amazing) twist on churros in the form of donuts! This recipe is also Whole30, Paleo, and nut-free (not that you’d ever be able to tell)! These sweet cinnamon treats are even better when dipped in an after dinner coffee or espresso, making them the perfect way to end the day whether you’re out with friends, or just at home with the family.
