This is a simple, delicious, healthy AND foolproof marinade that will give virtually anything you cook a massive flavor boost while ensuring that it stays moist and delicious throughout the cooking process. No need to thank us, just get cookin’! 


The Perfect Marinade to Use All Summer Long

  • ½ cup of 4th & Heart Ghee Oil or melted ghee**
  • 1 lemon, juiced 
  • 2 cloves of garlic, grated or finely minced 
  • 2 teaspoons of kosher salt 
  • 1 teaspoon of fresh black pepper
  • Optional: 1 Tablespoon of any chopped fresh herbs you have on hand (basil, parsley, rosemary, thyme, or cilantro) 


Mix the ghee oil or melted ghee, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper, and (optional) herbs together in a medium-sized mixing bowl until well combined. Add your protein (beef, chicken, seafood, tofu, tempeh, or anything else you like!) and toss around to completely cover it in the marinade. Let everything sit for at least two hours covered in the refrigerator, and you’re ready to cook!
