What You’ll Need:
- 2 1/4 cups AP flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 12 Tbsp (or 3/4 cup) 4th & Heart Ghee
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 12-oz bag dark chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375ºF, then line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl and set aside.
- Beat the ghee and both sugars with an electric mixer in a second large bowl until light and fluffy, about 4 minutes. Add the eggs to the ghee and sugar mixture, one at a time, beating after each addition to incorporate; then beat in the vanilla.
- Slowly add the flour mixture, and beat until just incorporated. Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop 12 heaping tablespoons of dough onto each prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake until the cookies are golden but still soft in the center, for about 12 to 15 minutes.
- Let the cookies cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets, then transfer them to a rack to cool completely and enjoy!
