Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

What You’ll Need:

  • 2 1/4 cups AP flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 12 Tbsp (or 3/4 cup) 4th & Heart Ghee
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 12-oz bag dark chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375ºF, then line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl and set aside.
  3. Beat the ghee and both sugars with an electric mixer in a second large bowl until light and fluffy, about 4 minutes. Add the eggs to the ghee and sugar mixture, one at a time, beating after each addition to incorporate; then beat in the vanilla.
  4. Slowly add the flour mixture, and beat until just incorporated. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  5. Scoop 12 heaping tablespoons of dough onto each prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake until the cookies are golden but still soft in the center, for about 12 to 15 minutes.
  6. Let the cookies cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets, then transfer them to a rack to cool completely and enjoy!
